Lord Ganesha has a curved trunk with a powerful body. He has the brilliance of a million suns. May the Lord, remove all the obstacles from the actions I intend to achieve.
Ganapati, also called as Ganesha is the god of wisdom, prudence, and salvation. Ganpati is represented as a short, pot-bellied man with an elephant's head and four arms. In mythology, the elephant symbolizes devotion, patience and truth. His belly represents prosperity; Ganesha rides on a mouse, signifying the unity of the small with the big. He is also the most widely worshipped deity. All ceremonies, religious or secular, begin with an invocation to Ganesha. Usually before beginning any religious writing, he is invoked with words 'Om Shri Ganeshaya Namaha', literally meaning "Ganesha, I pray to you".
